My wife and I are headed to the huge redwoods in humboldt this weekend so I finally pulled the trigger on that shiny new 28mm 1.8 I’ve been eyeing.
I really like taking picture of huge trees, but I hate my 18-135mm, and my next widest lens is a 40mm prime. That was a bad combination and it needed fixing.
Hope I can figure it out and get you guys some good pictures this weekend!
Any tips for shooting big trees from my photographer friends out there?
Thanks for the advice guys!
- Shoot early and at sunset, likely fog and lighting is the best
- Stitch together for huge trees and landscapes
- Put something in for scale so you can really feel the immensity of the trees
