Blue Damselfly Head Sex
This blew my mind. Damselflies (and dragonflies) often hold onto each other before mating. This doesn’t look like a nice first date!

Spiny Caterpillar On My Index Finger
I am pretty f***** excited about this photo. That is a ridiculously tiny and intricate caterpillar on my index finger. Its hard to get good macro shots with one hand but this one made my day.

Yellow Crab Spider (Misumena vatia) in defense mode
This is up there with my favorite spider shots! I found this gorgeous Misumena Vatia on a thimbleberry flower today.
This is two images stacked in photoshop to get more depth of field. It turned out much better than I expected considering I used to hand held shots and you really should use a tripod to create stacked images. Thanks to lobo-de-luna for recommending that approach for macro shots!

Green Damselfly Portrait
I wish I could be one of these things for an hour.
