Found a cute garter snake that recently ate a meal in the yard this morning!

Hey everybody, spring is happening!! (at Boise, Idaho)

One of the most beautifully colored and textured living things on earth - Gomphus clovatus (aka Pig’s Ear)

My favorite lichen (Ramalina menziesii?) - I don’t understand how it can grow in this pattern and I don’t want to know, mysteries are good sometimes! (at Fairfax, California)

One of my favorite nature finds ever - I spotted this huge golden chanterelle from a few hundred feet out and found a cute ensatina hiding underneath! (at Russian Gulch State Park)
